The Short Bus
Towards the end of the book he debated if he should abandon his short bus exactly where it started which was in front of his old elementary school. Or he considered keeping it. So after thinking about everything he came to the decision that he was going to keep the bus. He made this decision because he had made so many memories with it. After traveling with different passengers going into the world to meet others similar to him. This made him feel good. The fact that he attempted to build connections with those he visited was great because he got to see how many people there is out there that are similar to him or share the same struggles if not harder ones that he did.
Also he thought that his father was never really proud of him because of the way he was and he never really spoke about him in the story but towards the end he tells us about a phone call he had with his father which reveals that his father really was proud of him. Lastly, he still sticks by "I am a short bus rider and always will be" which is kind of the moral of the story. It shows how he has transformed from that scared little boy to a proud man!
